NEW DELHI: HMD Global has finally launched the much-awaited new Nokia smartphones in India. The series includes three smartphones – Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 – priced at Rs 14,999, Rs 12,899 and Rs 9,499 respectively. The Nokia 5 will be exclusively available with offline retailers, while the Nokia 6 will be available only with Amazon India. The Nokia 3 can also be purchased from physical retail stores.
The Nokia 3 will be going on sales starting June 16, while the Nokia 5 will be available starting July 7. Nokia 6 will be up for pre-orders from July 14.
On the specifications front, the trio offer pure Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS experience and come with Google Assistant built-in. HMD Global has already confirmed the handsets will get Android O later this year or next year. The smartphones will be made in India, starting with Nokia 3. The company has also detailed its Nokia Mobile Care Centre plans. As a part of the service, the firm will be offering pick and drop service of the faulty/repaired handsets in 100 cities in addition to web chat and call support.

Nokia is back with a bang. The company made a splash with a slew of launches at Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017) in Barcelona, Spain. The new lineup includes one of its most-loved phone Nokia 3310 in a whole new avatar. The new smartphones are expected to hit Indian shores by the second quarter of this year. Nokia 3310; price 49 euros, roughly Rs 3,400)
As widely speculated (and also awaited) Nokia relaunched its popular smartphone 3310. The all-new Nokia 3310 runs Series 30+ and features a 2.4-inch QVGA display. The dual-SIM handset sports a 2MP camera along with a microSD card slot. The feature phone is said to offer 22 hours talk time and one-month standby time. The device also includes the popular Snake game, of course the upgraded version. Nokia 3310 now comes in variety of colour options – Yellow, Grey, Blue and Red. The handset is now also slimmer than its previous avatar. It will hit the retail shelves in the second-quarter of this year globally, including India.

Nokia 6 finally goes global. Launched in China in January this year, the smartphone will come to markets like Europe, Middle East and Asia in the second quarter of this year. The smartphone comes with 64GB internal storage and 3GB RAM. The smartphone runs Android Nougat out-of-the-box and is powered by Qualcomm 4300 processor. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD display protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass. For photos and videos, there’s 16MP rear camera and 8MP selfie camera. The dul-SIM Nokia 6 has 3000 mAh battery.

The company also launched a special edition of Nokia 6 smartphone — Nokia 6 Arte Black. The smartphone comes in Gloss Black body. The smartphone’s specifications are same as those of Nokia 6, except for 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Nokia 5 has a 5.2-inch display and sports a 6000-series Aluminium built. The smartphone comes with finger-print sensor and packs 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage. Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 powers the smartphone. The Android 7.1 Nougat-based handset has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include micro-USB 2.0 and NFC. It has 3000mAh battery and comes in four colour variants — Tempered Blue, Copper, Black and Silver.
Nokia 3; price 139 euros (Rs 9500 approximately)
Nokia 3 is another budget smartphone. It runs on 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor. It features the same built as Nokia 5, but sports a smaller 5-inch display. Nokia 3 sports a polycarbonate back along with an aluminium frame. The handset has an 8MP camera at both front and back.
The Nokia 6 by HMD Global supports dual-SIM cards and has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with Adreno 505 GPU and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. The handset comes with 4GB RAM. On the storage front, the Nokia 6 comes with an inbuilt 64GB storage, which can expanded via a microSD card up to 128GB. It is powered by a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus and f/2.0 aperture. There is also an 8MP front-facing camera with 84-degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture.
The 4G LTE -supporting Nokia 6 comes with Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, USB OTG and Wi-Fi as connectivity options and packs a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone measures 154 x 75.8 x 7.8mm, has dual speakers powered by Dolby Atmos tech, 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor at the front on the home button.

The least powerful of the lot,Nokia 3 , features the same built as the Nokia 5, but has a smaller 5-inch IPS display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution. The handset sports an 8MP autofocus front and back camera sensors with f/2.0 aperture. Powered by the quad-core MediaTek MT6737, the Nokia 3 includes 2GB RAM with 16GB expandable storage. It is backed by a 2630mAh battery and sports a polycarbonate back along with an aluminium frame.
